Summary

Maintain the exterior of the hospital, as well as Mercy Satellites, with emphasis on snow removal, shrubbery, flowers, hedges and grounds.

Responsibilities

EDUCATION

* High school graduate or GED preferred.

EXPERIENCE

• Two (2) years experience as a groundskeeper required OR
• Five (5) years of experience nursery/landscaping required
• Valid NYS driver's license required and maintained.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

• Must know when to plant, seed and fertilize.
• Must have knowledge of type and care of flowers and greenery.
• Qualified candidates must be able to demonstrate safe operation of power equipment such as front-end loader, tractors, mowers, snow removal equipment, powered sprayers, etc.
• Will be required to climb ladders
• Must be hard working
• Must be able to spend long hours outside
