GROUNDSKEEPER II (ENTRANCE & PROMOTIONAL) (CLASS CODE 1611)

Kind of Work

Supervisory and semi-skilled work involving the maintenance and grass cutting activities of parks, parkways and public grounds; and related work as required.

Minimum Qualifications

--------------------------

EITHER

Six (6) month of experience as a Laborer with the Parkways and Park Commission, the French Market Corporation, the Mosquito Control Board, Municipal Yacht Harbor, the Municipal Training Academy, or the Division of Cemeteries of the Department of Property Management. Candidates must submit a letter from their Department certifying that they have shown the ability to perform the Duties of a Groundskeeper II.

OR

Eighteen (18) months of full-time, paid experience in groundskeeping or golf course maintenance.

Kind of Examination

A rating of training and experience, weighted 100%. All related previous experience will be considered for qualification purposes; however, credit on the rating of training and experience will only be given for experience gained within the last ten (10) years.

This is an original entrance and promotional examination.
