**This position is 40hrs per week/ 12 months worked, District-wide and is Benefits eligible.**

*This recruitment will be used to establish an eligibility list to fill this vacancy at the Facilities, Maintenance, & Operations Department and future vacancies within the District**All qualified candidates will be placed on an eligibility list for six months* BASIC FUNCTION:

Under the direction of the Grounds Supervisor, perform a variety of grounds maintenance and landscaping duties in the beautification of assigned grounds and landscaped areas; prepare field for athletic events and other activities.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS

Groundskeeper I

– The Groundskeeper I is the entry level classification in the series and performs general grounds maintenance duties at an assigned elementary, middle or continuation high school site.

Groundskeeper II

– The Groundskeeper II classification performs a variety of independent grounds maintenance duties including the extensive preparation of athletic fields at an assigned high school site.

Lead Groundskeeper –

The Lead Groundskeeper classification plans, organizes and participates in grounds maintenance and landscaping activities at various sites to meet the needs of the District.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
