Groundskeeper I

Position Summary

Richland Soccer Complex is seeking a dependable, motivated Groundskeeper I to help maintain our athletic fields and surrounding grounds. This position plays a vital role in providing safe, clean, and high-quality playing surfaces for athletes and visitors. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work, and can effectively work as part of a team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain the appearance, cleanliness, and safety of the Richland Soccer Complex.
• Water turf, plants, flowers, and landscaped areas using irrigation systems or manual methods as needed.
• Mow, edge, and trim turf areas to maintain professional playing conditions.
• Remove weeds using manual, mechanical, or chemical methods.
• Perform planting, sodding, seeding, and other landscape installation and maintenance tasks.
• Operate, monitor, and assist in maintaining irrigation systems.
• Assist with athletic field maintenance, including turf repairs and field preparation.
• Mix and apply fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, and insecticides according to instructions and safety guidelines.
• Operate a variety of grounds maintenance equipment safely and efficiently.
• Clean, inspect, and properly store all equipment after use.
• Maintain organized and clean equipment storage areas.
• Remove litter, debris, and other waste from the property to ensure a clean environment.
• Perform skilled and semi-skilled maintenance related to irrigation systems and athletic fields.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, athletic field maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and complete assignments efficiently.
