### Job Description and Duties

Individuals who are eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this position(s).

Newly hired State employees may be placed at the minimum of the salary range. Every 12 months, based on performance evaluation, employee may receive a 5% salary increase until they reach the maximum salary for the position.

Under the general supervision of the Supervising of Building Trades, the Groundskeeper is responsible for maintenance and upkeep of all landscaped areas of the institution by utilizing an incarcerated person crew. You will find additional information about the job in the Duty Statement.

### Working Conditions

Folsom State Prison is located approximately 30 miles east of downtown Sacramento and just minutes from old town Folsom.

The grounds of the prison are surrounded by beautiful landscaping and friendly wild animals (deer, squirrels, turkeys, geese, etc.)
