Groundskeeper / Animal Care Assistant

St. Francis Animal Sanctuary & Rescue

is seeking a dependable part-time team member to assist with property maintenance and animal care throughout the summer.

Primary Responsibilities

• Mowing grass using riding and push mowers
• Weed eating and general grounds maintenance
• Basic property upkeep and outdoor labor
• Filling in for Animal Care Technicians as needed
• Feeding animals and cleaning kennels when care staff are off
• Assisting with other sanctuary projects as assigned

Requirements

• Must be reliable and able to work independently
• Comfortable working outdoors in the Mississippi heat
• Able to safely operate lawn equipment
• Comfortable working around dogs and cats
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical labor
• Valid driver's license preferred

Schedule

Part-time, flexible hours with an option to move to full time. Additional hours may be available when covering Animal Care Technician shifts.

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
