Grounds Maintenance Worker

Position: Grounds Maintenance Laborer, Full-Time

Location: West Point Lake Project, West Point, GA

EAST O&M LLC is currently seeking Grounds Maintenance Laborer(s) for the Operations and Maintenance of Government Owned Facilities and Equipment at West Point Lake Project.

Location is a recreational site that includes boating, fishing, swimming, camping, and hiking.

Primary Responsibilities

The Grounds Maintenance Laborer maintains Government property and grounds such as buildings, camp sites and picnic grounds, parks, playgrounds, and athletic fields, and repairs structures and equipment, performing one or more of the following tasks: cut grass, using walking-type or riding mowers (less than 2000 lbs.), trim hedges and edges around walks, flowerbeds, and wells, using hedge trimmers, clippers and edging tools, prunes shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth, using shears and other hand tools. Job duties may include the following: plant flowers, trees, and shrubs, watering lawn and shrubs during dry periods, using hose or activating sprinkler system, and picks up leaves, paper or other litter.

Requirements

High School Diploma or G.E.D.

Must be able to work in extreme temperatures

Knowledge of grounds maintenance services

Knowledge of safe operation and maintenance requirements of industrial grounds equipment, such as mowers and tractors.

Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English language

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening & physical

COMPENSATION

We offer competitive pay and benefits. Hourly wage will be $17.75 plus cash payment Health and Welfare of $5.09 as a Grounds Maintenance Laborer.
