R&D Maintenance Services, Inc. provides operations and maintenance services on U.S Army Corps of Engineers projects throughout the southeast - since 1980. We are the Operations and Maintenance Contractor for the Tennessee Tombigbee Waterway Project providing machinery and facility maintenance and repair on several hundred miles of waterway, multiple recreations areas, and 9 locks/dams/spillways on the system. GENERAL DESCRIPTION

* Performs in a variety of situations including grounds maintenance, facility cleaning and litter removal, and trail and road maintenance. * Assists with a variety of trades and craft duties involving maintenance, repair and improvement of equipment, facilities, roads, fences, utility systems, etc. * May work individually or as member of a crew. * Maintenance work performed assisting a skilled craftsperson. * Entry Level positions with growth opportunity based on performance, skills, and knowledge.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Operate hand and powered lawn/grounds equipment. * Cleans facilities, restrooms, and showers; removes trash and refuse. * Plants and/or maintains grass, flowers, trees and shrubs. * Loads, transports and unloads material, tools, equipment and supplies. * Repairs and paints fences, gates, benches, tables, guardrails and outbuildings. * Performs or assists with lifting, positioning and securing of material and work pieces during installation. * Performs minor maintenance & cleaning activities for tools and equipment. * Maintains a clean work area. * Works indoor and outdoor assignments. May also be required to operate a motor vehicle. * Participates in the R&D Safety and Quality Control Programs and upholds safety and quality requirements. * Demonstrates dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs. * Performs other duties as assigned.
