Front Yard Forest is seeking a gardener/landscaper to join our team in Columbia, SC.

We specialize in ecological landscaping, habitat restoration, native plantings, and garden maintenance. Our work focuses on creating and caring for landscapes that are beautiful, functional, and supportive of healthy ecosystems.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has a strong work ethic, takes pride in quality work, and wants to develop practical skills in landscaping and horticulture. Previous experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right candidates.

Responsibilities

• Assist with garden maintenance and landscape improvement projects
• Plant trees, shrubs, perennials, and groundcovers
• Perform weeding, mulching, watering, pruning, and general garden care
• Support habitat restoration and invasive species management
• Safely operate landscape equipment and hand tools
• Must be able to operate proficiently a weed whacker, gas backpack blower, gas powered hedger.
• Ability to safely back up a truck with a trailer qualifies for the higher compensation.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas, tools, and vehicles
• Follow company procedures and safety standards
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
• Represent Front Yard Forest professionally on client properties

• Able to work independently and as part of a team

• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Able to lift, carry, bend, kneel, and perform physical work throughout the day
• Interest in landscaping, horticulture, ecology, native plants, or environmental stewardship is a plus
