Cedarville University invites applicants for the position of Groundskeeper. This is a full-time, non-exempt, on-site staff position in the University Grounds Department within the Business Division. This position reports to the Manager of University Grounds and is a 12-month position working 2,080 annual hours.

The Groundskeeper performs skilled and unskilled horticultural and landscape maintenance tasks to help create and maintain a beautiful, welcoming, and well-maintained campus environment. This position has been designated as emergency essential.

Essential Functions of the Position

• Maintain landscaped areas across campus.
• Plant and cultivate trees, grass, flowers, and shrubs.
• Spray for control of pests and plant diseases.

Mix and* herbicides, fertilizers, and other chemicals to grass, shrubs, trees, and roadside right-of-way. * Operate hand tools such as edgers, blowers, weed eaters, and related equipment. * Operate power equipment including mowers, tractors, and other grounds equipment. * Prepare soils for various kinds of plantings. * Mow, rake, weed, seed, edge, and water lawns. * Trim and prune trees and shrubs. * Install drainage s...
