Job Description

Evergreen Lawn & Landscape is looking for an experienced Fertilization & Weed Control professional to provide weekly hands-on training and coaching for our FWC team.

This is a part-time subcontractor/consultant opportunity for someone with strong lawn care, turf, fertilization, and weed control experience who enjoys teaching, coaching, and helping technicians grow.

We are looking for someone who can commit approximately 2–5 hours per week, 1 day per week, to help us create a stronger training rhythm, improve consistency, and build confidence within our FWC division.

We want to provide them with clear, consistent, practical training focused on best practices, quality control, and uniformity across the division.

The ideal consultant would be able to provide both classroom-style instruction and hands-on field/equipment training.

Training Focus Areas

1. Equipment & Truck Best Practices

Training on proper setup, cleanliness, organization, maintenance, daily checks, calibration, storage, and overall professionalism with FWC trucks, tanks, spreaders, sprayers, backpacks, hoses, and related equipment.

2. Best Application Practices

Coaching on proper application techniques, coverage, consistency, safety, avoiding overspray, understanding weather conditions, reading property conditions, and following label/application standards.

3. Chemical Knowledge

Training on herbicides, fertilizers, fungicides, insecticides, surfactants, pre-emergents, post-emergents, tank mixing, label reading, safety, rates, timing, and product selection.

4. Turf Knowledge

Helping technicians better understand common North Texas turf types, including Bermuda, St. Augustine, and Zoysia. Training should include turf health, weed identification, disease pressure, seasonal stress, watering issues, soil conditions...
