Landscape Technician

About the role:

Maintain designated grounds and outdoor areas on site using hand tools, trimmers, edgers, weed-eaters, electric tools, gas powered tools, and equipment. You will mow areas using zero turn mowers and riding lawn mowers, operating leaf blowers, applying pesticides and fertilizers, re-seeding, de-icing roads, walkways, and entrances to buildings, clearing damaged trees.

You will report on site at Catawba nuclear site.

You will report to the site coordinator. Key Responsibilities: * Capable lifting 50 lbs. (heavy lifting required from time to time.) * Must have a valid State issued Driver's License, and Must meet minimum education requirements, High School Diploma or equivalent * Basic Computer Skills * Training requirements for unescorted access to the nuclear facility to include Radiation Worker Training (RWT). * Proactively support Westinghouse and Duke Energy programs, policies, procedures, strategic plans, and specific goals. * Have good oral and written communication skills * Understand and follow oral and written communications, technical requirements, procedures, and directives associated with working at a nuclear power plant. * Commitment to personal safety and industrial safety. * Be assertive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently or with minimum oversight.
