Greenleaf Landscaping currently has a full time position available for a Account Manager/ Business Developer who would be responsible for landscape maintenance accounts. Applicant must be a strong multi-tasker, and possess a strong work ethic with excellent communication and organizational skills. Greenleaf Landscaping and is based in Greenwood (southern Indianapolis), Indiana area.

The Account Manager/Business Developer responsibilities to include

• Business Development-Soliciting new work through Commercial, Residential and Home Owner Associations
• Manage current work portfolio-Growing and developing new work with existing landscape and maintenance customers
• Enhancement Sales- Up selling of all Greenleaf Landscaping services to current customers to add value to their properties while increasing job scope
• Relationship Management- Develop, maintain and, grow Greenleaf Landscaping’s relationships throughout the community to all current and new clients

Job Requirements

• College degree in a horticultural field or 3 plus years of applicable work experience
• Strong work ethic and oral and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask and handle all customer issues in a fast paced environment
• Prefer regional candidates with Midwest based plant and turf knowledge.

The Maintenance Account Manager/Sales Development will be primarily responsible for developing new sales within the local market as well as serve as the primary contact for existing clients, ensuring that Greenleaf Landscaping has a sustained, long-term, loyal relationship. This individual achieves client satisfaction with our work, and fully leverages our relationships to benefit the client and Greenleaf Landscaping. Responsible for the management of a client portfolio of multiple key clients, focused on maximizing revenue growth and client retention.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Client Service: 30% of the Time

Develop new business opportunities through standard sales practices within the local market.

Develop and maintain long-term, loyal client relationships, which lead to 100% renewals of each account, within the customer portfolio.

Develop and maintain a personification schedule and perform “site walk throughs” with customers that ensure high quality and service expectations are met.

Pro actively present site enhancement ideas to existing customers.

Organize, facilitate and lead to solve customer problems or concerns. Proactively assist in resolving issues with customer service when needed.

Sales Responsibility: 60% of the Time

Network to secure new sales opportunities.

Earn new work through referrals from existing customer base.

Responsible for maximizing work opportunities and achieving work order sales that meet branch goals.

Identify areas of opportunity to increase account growth and drive revenue.

Responsible for accurate estimates and takeoffs as needed.

Production Communication: 10% of the Time

Participate in Company/Division team meetings and assist management on overall leadership of the Division.

Communicate regularly with Division production personnel to ensure customer expectations are being met or exceeded.

Develop strong relationships with production personnel to ensure that customer service and production teams are coordinated on serving customers.
