Maintenance Foreman and Maintenance Crew Members DOE Department: Operations – Maintenance Division

Position Summary

The Maintenance Foreman serves as the working supervisor for the maintenance crew and acts as the primary liaison between the crew and the Operations Maintenance Manager. This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring production standards are met, and maintaining a high-quality appearance across assigned properties.

Supervision Received and Exercised

The Maintenance Foreman reports directly to the Operations Maintenance Manager and is responsible for supervising all maintenance crew members.

Key Responsibilities:Supervisory Duties

• Transport crews to and from job sites.
• Train and supervise new and existing crew members.
• Ensure all work is completed to professional and company standards.
• Communicate progress, issues, and needs to the Operations Maintenance Manager.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment, trucks, and trailers.
• Ensure all equipment keys are returned to the designated lockbox daily.
• Take ownership of the appearance and quality of assigned properties.

Safety Duties

• Report any equipment or vehicle safety issues immediately.
• Ensure equipment is secured both on-site and in the yard.
• Promote safe practices among all crew members.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard environment.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Abilities

• Minimum 2 years of landscape maintenance experience for Foreman Position
• *Crew Members**- No Experience required, Experience is preferred.*
• 1- 2 years of supervisory experience preferred (but not required).
• Working knowledge of landscape maintenance tools and equipment.
• Ability to perform minor field repairs on equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients when necessary.
