Landscape Crew Lead/Forman

Job Requirements

• Ability to critically think and communicate problems in-order to find a resolution in a timely manner.
• The ability to report to work on time and ready to work.
• Experience in Managing 2 to 3 Crew Members on large and small scale projects.
• The ability to work collaboratively in a group setting; working alongside both the field and office staff.
• Hold oneself accountable to completing projects to industry standards.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, continuously throughout the day, while performing tasks such as bending, squatting, walking, digging, etc.
• Experience in Operating Heavy Equipment (skid steers, excavators, mini skids, etc.)
• The ability to perform maintenance and repairs on equipment and tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead a crew in the planting of trees, perennials, and shrubs.
• Perform manual labor activities for the installation and maintenance of landscape projects.
• Lead a crew in the building and/or renovating of stone pathways, patios and ledges.
• Removal of snow and ice as needed using shovels, snow blowers and/or driving a truck with a snow plow.
• Assists in the loading/unloading of equipment and tools into work trucks.
• Proactively maintain shop, vehicles & equipment.
• Provide onsite, hands-on leadership for a safe, productive, & rewarding workplace.
