#### Irrigation Technician II

Definition

Work independently to diagnose and repair irrigation systems, advanced clock management, low voltage lights, and pond/pump management

Supervision Received and Exercised

This position will work independently with occasional aid from the irrigation manager and, on occasion, may supervise Irrigation Tech I. The Irrigation Tech II receives direct supervision from the Irrigation Manager he/she is working with and indirect supervision from the owner of ATPS.

Distinguishing Characteristics

This is an experienced, full time position paid hourly which requires 2-6 years experience.

Knowledge and Abilities

• Must be quick to learn and ready for new challenges in the irrigation industry.
• Knowledge of proper care and maintenance of tools.
• Extensive knowledge of irrigation systems and troubleshooting.
• Speak, read, write, and comprehend English.
• Demonstrated strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to establish cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.

Essential Functions/Areas of Accountability

* Leads in installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of simple and moderately complex irrigation systems, and assists with complex systems as needed.

* Tests complete irrigation systems for proper functioning of valves and timers.

* Locates, excavates and repairs or replaces damaged or malfunctioning equipment.
