Irrigation Technician

Salary Range

Starting $17.50/hr.Reporting Location: 404 Talbert St. Daly City, CA 94014Schedule: M-F 6am to 2:45pmReports To: Irrigation Manager

This role will help our client manage their irrigation water and to be as efficient as possible. Some primary functions include installation of smart controllers, master valves, and flow sensors. Other responsibilities include site audits, data collections, and creation of proposals.Essential Functions including but not limited to: =====================================================

Apprentice

: ===============

• Understand & follow all job safety protocols such as PPE, locate utilities, excavation safety, confined space entry, and SDS.
• Identify & understand water meter usage
• Equipment tool usage such as selecting appropriate tool/equipment for task and maintain equipment/tools in proper working order
• Identify and understand sprinkler types, nozzle types & spacing (rotors, sprays, MP Rotators, bubblers, & drip)
• Identify, understand, and determine appropriate swing joint assemblies such as components, type, and installations
• Select, identify, determine, and perform pipe fittings and connection procedures based on pipe & fitting types.
• Utilize GIS maps to locate irrigation systems such as shut off, valves, sprinkler heads & collect data for updating as needed by the GIS Specialist.
