Groundsman | Arborist Trainee

Seeking Ground Man/Arborist Trainee for Tree Care Operations in the Tahoe Basin

Ideal candidate will have the ability to support other crew members by

• Maintaining required physical fitness
• Safely operating equipment including chainsaws, chippers, stump grinders, and skid steers
• Properly tying and untying knots and ability to learn all necessary arborist knots
• Controlling lowering ropes, and supply tools for tree climbers aloft
• Moving tree limbs and other debris from worksite to chipper and trailer
• Controlling pedestrian, road and sidewalk traffic as needed
• Maintaining an organized jobsite
• Following all safety and tree care standards outlined by Company Policy and ANSI
• Performing equipment maintenance
• Working and communicating safely and efficiently with other crew members
• Maintaining California driver’s license with clean DMV record or ability to obtain CA DL

Education, training, experience

* High School Diploma or equivalent

* 2 or 4 year degree in a related field desired

* Experience (with references) in the above listed areas

* Compensation DOE

* EOE Employer

* Pre-employment Drug Screen and Physical

Pre-Employment Requirements

* Must be able to pass a drug test

* Must be able to pass a background check

* Must be able to pass an occupational physical
