Groundskeeper

Position Overview

The Hotel Groundsman is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming public spaces throughout the property. This role supports the overall guest experience by ensuring all common areas—including hallways, stairwells, pool areas, and exterior grounds—are consistently well‑kept, presentable, and functioning properly.

Key Responsibilities

• Public Area Cleaning
• Clean and sanitize all public spaces including lobbies, hallways, stairways, and restrooms.
• Vacuum and shampoo hallway carpets according to schedule.
• Dust, wipe, and maintain cleanliness of fixtures, railings, windows, and doors.
• Pool & Outdoor Areas
• Maintain cleanliness of the pool deck, furniture, and surrounding areas.
• Empty trash, remove debris, and ensure the pool area remains safe and guest‑ready.
• Assist with basic outdoor grounds upkeep as needed.
• Trash & Waste Management
• Empty trash cans throughout the property and dispose of waste in designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dumpster and waste disposal zones.
• General Support
• Respond to guest or staff requests for cleaning or maintenance assistance in public areas.
• Report any safety hazards, maintenance issues, or unusual conditions to management.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and property standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or groundskeeping preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable performing physical tasks including lifting, bending, and extended periods of walking or standing.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for guests.

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
