Holy Hope Cemetery / Tucson, AZ Primary Function: Under the direction of the Director, Grounds Superintendent, or other assigned manager, is responsible for performing a variety of grounds keeping duties including light maintenance and custodial duties The Employee shall be a minister of the Gospel and Catholic Teaching both academically and behaviorally while at work and in his/her personal life*, “…Live in a manner worthy of the call you have received.” (Eph. 4:1)* Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Support the Diocese of Tucson and the Church’s spiritual and pastoral mission. * Shall abide by Catholic principles in the employee’s professional and private life and shall govern his/her professional and private life in strict accordance with Catholic morals and principles to demonstrate complete adherence to Catholic moral strictures. * Perform grounds keeping and custodial duties to include cleaning of cemetery grounds. * Maintain grounds equipment in a functional condition; oversee and recommend replacement of equipment as necessary. * Keep grounds neatly manicured to include keeping lawns and shrubbery in a presentable condition. * Update and maintain ongoing records of grounds maintenance performed. This includes vehicles, tractors, and other equipment. * Maintain an updated inventory of equipment and supplies used; be accountable for their security. * Maintain supply of cleaning equipment and supplies; maintain an inventory of all equipment and supplies; account for all inventory and equipment. * Comply with chemical handling laws and safety regulations as required. * Maintain a safe working environment. * Adheres to safety first – wearing appropriate gear (hardhat) and other protective clothing and equipment when mandated. * Maintain security of buildings, equipment, and tools. * Perform othe...
