Position Summary

River View Companies is seeking a dependable and hardworking Groundskeeper to maintain the appearance and cleanliness of a church and school campus. This position plays an important role in creating a welcoming, clean, and well-maintained environment for parishioners, students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, enjoys working outdoors, and is committed to maintaining the campus to the highest standards.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform daily grounds inspections and maintain the campus’s overall appearance.
• Pick up trash and debris throughout the property each morning and as needed throughout the day.
• Clean and maintain the dumpster and waste collection areas.
• Remove litter, leaves, branches, and other debris from sidewalks, parking lots, playgrounds, and landscaped areas.
• Pull weeds, water flowers and landscaping, and assist with seasonal grounds maintenance.
• Sweep sidewalks, curbs, entrances, and outdoor gathering areas.
• Monitor campus grounds and report maintenance concerns.
• Check exterior lighting and replace light bulbs as needed.
• Maintain handrails, benches, signage, and other outdoor amenities.
• Assist with event setup and breakdown as requested.
• Power wash sidewalks, building entrances, and other campus areas as needed.
• Assist with snow and ice removal during inclement weather, when applicable.
