Groundskeeper I (1st Shift)

The Groundskeeper I is responsible for maintaining the facility and its surrounding areas in clean, safe, and orderly condition. This includes performing routine cleaning, minor repairs, snow removal, and assisting with maintenance projects as directed. The position requires the use of various hand and power tools and coordination with internal departments, vendors, and contractors. The Groundskeeper I plays an essential role in supporting the overall upkeep and appearance of the plant, ensuring compliance with safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* Maintain buildings and grounds in top condition, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and compliance with company standards. * Perform general facility maintenance such as painting, repairing walls, replacing lights, and fixing leaks. * Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively. * Serve as a contact point for building repair needs, outside vendors, and contractors on special projects. * Maintain and ensure the waste rooms, dumpster areas, and other external spaces are clean and orderly. * Read and follow chemical labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) accurately. * Transport trash and waste to disposal areas using pallet jacks or forklifts as needed. * Maintain and update plant signage throughout the grounds and buildings. * Respond to and correct any facility-related issues identified during internal and external GMP audits. * Perform landscaping tasks and snow removal, including salting walkways and access roads during winter months.

Conduct regular inspections (weekly, monthly, quarterly) on fire extinguishers, eyewash stations, emergency lighting, ladders, AEDs, door functionality and related equipment.
