JOBDESCRIPTION

:

This is maintenance and personal services work in supporting the year-round

preservation of State of Maine properties. Responsibilities include performing semiskilled manual

labor tasks in construction, repair, maintenance and grounds upkeep and the use and/or operation

of a variety of construction, trades, maintenance and landscaping tools and equipment. Work is

performed under general supervision.

REPRESENTATIVE TASKS

• Maintains the grounds at the various State of Maine facilities, including lawns, gardens, and parks using outdoor power equipment.
• Performs lawn maintenance tasks such as seeding, watering, mowing, trimming and raking.
• Completes preparation and maintenance of flower beds, including digging, planting, weeding, and tending flowers and shrubs to beautify grounds.
