Building & Grounds Maintenance Technician (Full-Time, M–F, Day Shift)

Mr. Handyman of Kanawha Valley is hiring a reliable, hands-on Building & Grounds Maintenance Technician. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, being outdoors, and taking pride in keeping buildings and property in good shape. This is steady, year-round work with a consistent schedule and a real opportunity to grow.

Job Responsibilities

• Handle daily janitorial and cleaning duties to keep buildings clean and safe
• Perform basic building maintenance and repairs (drywall patching, painting, light carpentry, hardware repairs)
• Handle all grounds maintenance, including mowing, trimming, landscaping, seasonal cleanup, and snow/ice removal
• Run parts, tools, and supplies between job sites, vendors, and facilities
• Inspect buildings and grounds and fix small issues before they become bigger problems
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas
• Assist with other maintenance or repair tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, groundskeeping, janitorial, or similar work preferred
• Mechanical knowledge of small engines and tools is a plus (mowers, trimmers, hand and power tools)
• Ability to work independently and stay productive
• Able to lift, bend, climb, and work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Dependable, hardworking, and willing to learn

Pay & Benefits

* $14–$16 per hour, based on experience

• Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
